It's embarrassing and distressing but I cannot help confessing how shamefully, powerfully arousing I find these stories. My professional colleagues, friends and family members would find it shocking, galling and appalling. As mortifying as it would be for me, it would be at least as horrifying for them to discover that someone who (re-)presents herself as a progressive, feminist professor and social justice activist is a furtive, obsessive-compulsive consumer of this stuff.
That said, with my hand and mind wandering into darker territory, I was wondering about the possibility for more racial-ethnic diversity in characters, particularly female characters ... Perhaps something along the lines of taking females of color, adults and/or teens. who are of high moral character and repute ... intelligent and self-confident high achievers ... maybe churchgoers, other community and/or student leaders ... progressive and/or conservative politically, socially assertive and/or shyer, more reserved ... but, in any case earnest, perhaps innocent, maybe idealistic, maybe more realistic, but naively trusting ... maybe uptight, prim and proper, maybe a bit prudish ...
Regardless, self-respecting, highly principled women and girls of color, with strong senses of dignity and integrity, self-consciously and conscientiously determined and committed to (re-)present and amplify positive, proud, empowered and empowering role models of their racial-ethnic group ... And have such upstanding, accomplished females of color manipulated and turned into (self-)betraying caricatures and parodies of the worst racial-sexual stereotypes and tropes ... for African-American and/or Asian or Hispanic females (in addition to what you have already), which could be for political and/or professional motives and/or petty personal ones.
If you like audio porn, you might give WeeDramm a try (https://www.reddit.com/r/WeeDrammsKinkEmporium/). He frequently has explicit racial diversity in his work.
His kinks aren't exactly the same as here, but there is some overlap.
I fully agree that sexual kinks, like those explored here, to use your words, "are something that we all share as humans, [r]egardless of the (ridiculous) social labels we put on one another." Individually, socially and culturally, among our species and others, sexualities and sexual activities have astonishing complexities.
All of that, and, along with that, the hypocrisies and absurdities of many social-moral judgments, racial and sexual stereotypes and tropes inform a more 'objective' perspective we might try to aspire to about this stuff. Nevertheless, on a subjective level, stigma, shame and humiliation are powerful and divisive in and of themselves. And layering on race, ethnicity, religion, etc. would compound the divisive aspects. So, I can certainly appreciate the hazards, hurt and harm ...
And, all that aside, I appreciate your stories and this site. Thank you.
Hello. Thank you for taking the time to open up the discussion. While I do, absolutely, appreciate diversity in all its forms, I try to stay away from topics that concern race or religion in most of my writing. In my solitary opinion, I believe that sexual kinks, like the ones I explore in my writing are something that we all share as humans. Regardless of the (ridiculous) social labels we put on one another, exploring our sexuality and all the myriad ways it manifests itself, and the way we all choose to embrace or express it, it's those sexy things that we all have in common. I'm not against exploring other cultures or races in my stories, but above all I want to write things that don't cause division, and I aim to treat people of any race, creed or nationality with the respect that everyone deserves. Therefore, I don't want to write characters that might have a cultural or racial background that I might, accidentally, portay in some unflattering light or unintentionally disrespect someone else through my own ignorance. I hope that is a satisfying answer. I'm sure there's a much larger conversation to be had around this topic, but that's probably something best left to a better forum than this one. I sincerely appreciate having you as a reader and value yours, and everyone's, support of my work, as well as the feedback you provide. It means a lot to be able to share the silly worlds I create with people and to hear about the ways they touch you, whether that's by arousing you or inducing some other feeling. Thank you again. -Hamlin
